About the Author of Corrupted Innocence:
Caroline Mullarkey was born in Canada in 1972. Her parents are from Belfast, Northern Ireland and her brother, David, was born in England. After spending time in Wales and London, Caroline and her family moved to Australia in 1976. It has been their home ever since.
Caroline Mullarkey’s literary passion began at an early age; Writing her first song when she was eight and a novella when she was only twelve-years-old. By the age of eighteen, she was the lead vocalist in a band.
During her music career, she entertained at venues across Victoria, held residencies at Melbourne city nightclubs and performed on the Abel Tasman ferry in her duo—Sugarbeat. A few years later, she played solo guitar and sang her original compositions on several local radio stations in Gippsland.
In her mid-twenties, she worked in tourism and was a columnist for the Gippsland Times newspaper. Then, in 2001 she enrolled at Monash University and studied business law, the Arts, Indigenous culture, behavioural psychology and teaching.
Since completing her teaching degree, she has taught in primary and secondary schools, including the Monash University Precinct.
Now, Caroline is fulfilling her life-long dream as an author.
